What do I get on the free trial?
Thirty days with the full builder and a complete, working site on a yoursite.buildernow.net subdomain, SSL included. No credit card to start, and nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends. Upgrading to Professional keeps the site online and moves it onto your own domain name.
Are there any cancellation or hidden fees?
No. You pay your monthly or annual plan, and that’s it — no setup fees, no cancellation fees, no hidden upcharges. If you cancel, you simply stop paying at the end of your current billing period.
What’s the difference between monthly and yearly?
Just the cost. The yearly plan is $250 instead of $300 — you save $50 by paying upfront. Same product, same features, same support either way.
Do I own my domain name?
Yes, always. If you bring a domain you already own, you keep it. If we purchase one on your behalf, it’s registered in your name and we transfer it to you or your next host if you ever cancel. We never hold a domain hostage.
What happens if I cancel?
Your site stays up until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. After that, we’ll transfer your domain to you (if we purchased it) and deactivate the site. Your text, business details and uploaded images stay on file, so if you come back later we can usually put the site back as it was — and we’ll send you a copy of that content on request. The site itself stays ours, so we don’t hand over templates or site files.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. You can switch between monthly and yearly at any time, and you can upgrade to a Custom plan whenever you need something more specialized. Contact support and we’ll handle the transition.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards through Square’s secure payment processing. Payment info is never stored on our servers.
